Escribiste un capítulo, lo ilustraste y lo narraste — las tres cosas ya existen en tu Proyecto Narrativo. El siguiente paso natural, si querés compartirlo como video, es un botón: "Enviar a Video Lab", disponible directo desde el capítulo.

Qué hace ese botón, exactamente

Crea un Proyecto de Video Lab nuevo, con una escena por cada imagen que ya generaste en ese capítulo, y reparte la duración total del video entre esas escenas según cuánto dura tu narración — la banda sonora se precarga automáticamente. No hay que volver a subir nada ni a re-narrar: reusa lo que ya generaste.

Cada escena se anima, no queda estática

Video Lab no muestra las imágenes como un slideshow quieto. Cada escena tiene un efecto de cámara real (paneo, zoom in, zoom out, entre otros del catálogo completo) que cubre su propio tramo de audio — y podés elegir el efecto de cada escena a mano si querés más control que el que se asigna por default.

¿Y si el capítulo dura mucho más que 8 segundos por imagen?

Acá vale ser honestos con cómo funciona: los clips de video generado por IA (Veo) duran unos pocos segundos como máximo — no existe hoy un modelo que genere directamente un video continuo de varios minutos. Para un capítulo largo, la escena repite su clip en loop hasta cubrir su tramo completo del audio, en vez de fingir continuidad que no existe. Es una decisión de honestidad, no una limitación escondida.

Subtítulos y música, sin salir de la misma pantalla

• Subtítulos automáticos — se generan a partir de la narración, con animación palabra por palabra y estilo editable (tamaño, color, posición, fondo).
• Banda sonora — podés agregar música de fondo directo ahí, con un mezclador rápido que sube y baja la música automáticamente alrededor de la voz (o la dejás en volumen fijo, si preferís control manual). Si la canción es más corta que el video, se repite hasta cubrir la duración completa — nunca queda en silencio el resto.
• Reordenar escenas — arrastrás y soltás si el orden automático no es el que querés.

También podés animar una imagen puntual a video

No hace falta un capítulo entero — cualquier imagen que ya generaste en un Proyecto se puede animar a un clip de video real (image-to-video), y se agrega como una escena más dentro de Video Lab. Útil si solo una parte del capítulo necesita movimiento.

Lo que todavía no es Video Lab

No es un editor de video profesional, y no pretende serlo — no hay timeline cuadro por cuadro ni corrección de color. Es una forma de convertir contenido que ya escribiste y narraste en un video presentable, rápido, sin herramientas externas. Para algo más elaborado, seguís necesitando un editor real — Video Lab resuelve el 80% del camino sin que tengas que salir de Hilo.

You wrote a chapter, illustrated it, and narrated it — all three already exist in your Narrative Project. The natural next step, if you want to share it as a video, is one button: "Send to Video Lab", available right from the chapter.

What that button actually does

It creates a new Video Lab Project, with one scene per image you already generated in that chapter, and splits the video's total length across those scenes based on how long your narration runs — the soundtrack is preloaded automatically. No need to re-upload anything or re-narrate: it reuses what you already generated.

Each scene animates, it doesn't sit still

Video Lab doesn't show your images as a static slideshow. Each scene gets a real camera effect (pan, zoom in, zoom out, and others from the full catalog) that covers its own stretch of audio — and you can pick each scene's effect by hand if you want more control than the default assignment.

What if the chapter runs much longer than 8 seconds per image?

Worth being honest about how this works: AI-generated video clips (Veo) max out at a few seconds — no model today generates continuous video that's several minutes long. For a long chapter, a scene loops its clip until it covers its full stretch of audio, instead of faking continuity that doesn't exist. That's a decision about honesty, not a hidden limitation.

Captions and music, without leaving the same screen

• Automatic captions — generated from the narration, with word-by-word animation and editable style (size, color, position, background).
• Soundtrack — you can add background music right there, with a quick mixer that automatically raises and lowers the music around the voice (or leave it at a fixed volume, if you prefer manual control). If the song is shorter than the video, it loops until it covers the full length — it never goes silent for the rest.
• Reorder scenes — drag and drop if the automatic order isn't the one you want.

You can also animate a single image into video

You don't need a whole chapter — any image you've already generated in a Project can be animated into a real video clip (image-to-video), and it gets added as one more scene inside Video Lab. Useful if only part of the chapter needs movement.

What Video Lab still isn't

It's not a professional video editor, and it doesn't try to be — there's no frame-by-frame timeline or color correction. It's a way to turn content you already wrote and narrated into a presentable video, fast, without external tools. For something more elaborate, you still need a real editor — Video Lab covers 80% of the path without you having to leave Hilo.
